Sorry I dd'ed, I just felt like a heathen because it was viewed a lot with minimal comments. Here's the not-so abridged version because I can't figure out how to find the old post and repost and there's no such thing as me writing something that isn't super verbose.
Engineer--
I decided to call it quits with him after about 7 dates because he was too much of a Debbie Downer for me....plus the sex was boring. Like silent, boring, not-even-vanilla sex.
Physicist--
Met him on match.com and had a great dinner date on a Friday night. Went out for coffee on Monday before he left for Hawaii for work for 2 weeks. I texted him while he was away (2 days after coffee) and after a few texts, nothing. Radio silence since then. Too bad because he was cute and nice and funny and had a dog (also had a rat though...)
Buffalo Wings Dude--
Emailed a guy from JDate (yes, I'm double dipping dating sites after I decided there weren't enough Jews on match--triple dipping if you count OKCupid that I met the Engineer on). He had a super weird but funny (albeit slightly misogynistic) sense of humor.
We were supposed to have a gchat date on Wed night but he blew me off. I emailed him to say "Hey I was online but you weren't so I'm going to bed" and he wrote back the next morning apologetic. Decided to give him another shot (he said he was eating buffalo wings with his brother that night--fam time I get it, no biggie) and as a measure of "goodwill" (his words) he would fwd me a dating app that he and his friend put together. He sent over a dating application--I emailed that it was funny--he responded "I expected you to fill it out". It was a 23 ? application that was funny but I certainly wasn't going waste any more time on him. Sorry, no clicky-link to post on SO about dating application: http://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/58799249.aspx
KiwiVet--
Been emailing with a Vet who went to school in NZ (hence KiwiVet) on JDate. He had a great profile re: what he wants in a relationship, loves animals (you might remember I'm a freak who loves camels and used to blog from my dog's perspective-no offense UK!) and is tall--a 6 ft Jew! He's not as cute as some other guys and he's bald but I don't care about that if we get along and he has a sense of humor (this is TBD as his emails have been pretty straightforward).
He asked me out for Sunday and we're going for a walk and then lunch earlier in the day late morning/early afternoon because I have another date on Sunday.
OtherDateOnSunday (TShirt Man)--
My friends H's BFF is supposedly this super hot guy living 2 hrs from me in Queens. He is super hot (saw his FB pic) and would do the whole LDR thing (not sure how I feel about that) but isn't as economically stable as I'd hope (finished college online and sells tshirts or something like that). Going to lunch, yes a second lunch, with my friend, her H, their 2 yr old son, and the tshirt guy in the afternoon. He's also Jewish.
*THIS IS THE JUICY STUFF*
Older Cowboy--
For those of you who don't know, in my post divorce life I read Harlequin (and even some less respectable) romance novels often featuring cowboys and sing along to country music and have an insane cowboy fantasy.
Monday night I went to eat at a restaurant with my mom and her friend and a man in his 40s (I'm 27) from TX sits at the bar next to us and starts chatting us up. He was really cute and was wearing cowboy boots and in town on business (comes up once a month). On the way out I gave him my number-he texted me as we were driving home (live 2 miles away) so I went home, got in my car and drove back out. Went to another bar, drank a bit, went back to his hotel and "danced" to country music all night. I made him keep the boots on!
Re: Since you asked (again)...dating stories
Yee Haw! I'm glad you're having fun meeting new guys and out there dating. Sounds like a blast. If I were single I'd be doing the same thing. Seriously, don't feel like a heathen.
Go Mint!
Isn't this where a lurker shows up and calls you a tart? :P

Sounds like you're having a great time! If I were single, I'd be doing the same thing. It definitely sounds like you've dodged a few bullets - one with Physicist and two with Buffalo Wings Dude.
Keep up the stories. I'm living my dating life vicariously through the singletons on the board.
Oh, deets please! Where is he doing his residency? Does he eat butter? (I dated a cardiologist while in law school who was anti-butter...seemingly insignificant but was indicative of bigger issues)
Whoa! Thank you for the cowboy story. Will definitely need more stories along those lines whenever possible. Excellent.
And can I just say I like the sounds of KiwiVet. Hopefully he does have a sense of humor. Can't wait to hear how Sunday goes!
Good lord, I just said "No way" outloud. Thank God DH is still sleeping otherwise that would've been fun to explain
Sounds like you're having fun! Love the dating stories from you ladies with exciting lives
