Hi everyone,
I generally dont post on the nest board, been over on the bump board for a while now and figured this was the best place to get the answers I was looking for! We are expecting out little one in Feb and are thinking about a January baby shower. Only issue is my house is too small for one and I'm not all that close with the in-laws, so i don't really want my friends at their house. I'm looking at around 20 people maybe 30 at the verrry most. Would love to do a sunday brunch/lunch because most of friends and family are available on that day. Im open to doing it in a hall, hotel or a restaurant just very stumped on where exactly. I can go from anywhere b/w fitchburg area to wellesley area , seeing how we are in framingham and the in-laws are closer to fitchburg. We also have a smaller budget, and a reasonable priced place would be great. (Unless its a hall or a hotel where we can bring our own food, then a bit more flexible)
Re: Baby Shower locations..?
Are you throwing your own baby shower?
I have 2 shower invites here- 1 for Upstairs on the Square and 1 for Henrietta's.
I know one friend's MIL is looking at Top of the Hub for space for a shower and Quincy neighborhood club is another place where I get a lot of shower invitations.
I strongly urge you not to throw your own shower if that is the route you are going. Spend 2 minutes on the bump's Baby Shower boards and find out why this is in very poor taste.

I am in the process of planning my BFF's baby shower, which will be in early December...she's due early Feb. We're having hers at the Wayside Inn in Sudbury, near concord, Ma.

The colonial inn in concord, Ma is also really nice with separate historic looking function rooms.
I went to a shower at the Colonial Inn, and it was really nice.
