Spider Webs Outside

We have a ton of spider webs that appear and re-appear year-round on our front porch and around the windows.  Our front door area looks like it belongs in a haunted house and on one window, there's seven!

How do I get them to go away?  Would traditional bug spray work?  Would I have to re-apply after it rains (huge pain in the butt)?

Re: Spider Webs Outside

  • I usually wipe them off w/a broom, and spray bug spray outside hoping to kill them.

  • Most spiders are a good thing to have around. They eat a lot of other bugs! I just knock down the ones right by the doors.

This is what my husband tells me, so I don't spray or anything but I have taken to knocking the webs down on a regular basis. And I HATE spiders...but I've found if I knock them down consistantly, they start becoming less and less...I think the spiders take the hint and go somewhere else. GL!

    Smart husband.
  • I spray with an outside pest control every few months, I don't see webs anymore, and we have less pests inside.  I do around the windows and doors, and along the foundation line.
