Cleaning Oil Rubbed Bronze

Apologies if this is commonly asked - haven't been on the nest in quite a while.

What do you use to clean your oil rubbed bronze fixtures?  All our drains and shower faucets have nasty soapscum/water spots on them that I have a hard time getting off.  I'm afraid to use anything harsh because of the oil rubbed finish.  What do you use that works and doesn't ruin the finish?

I've heard something about vinegar and baking soda?  Or something with those two.  Help!

TIA

Hoping someone answers you as we've chosen all ORB fixtures for our new house!

  • Not sure if there is a difference between a bronze fixture and an oil rubbed bronze fixture?

With our bronze sink fixtures I use ketchup (which when let sit for a few minutes and then rubbed will clean nicely).
  • Our hardware/faucets/drains in our hall bathroom are all ORB. I use my normal cleaning products and haven't had an issue. If you're concerned I'd use a natural cleaner.
