Breaking Bad season finale
OMG.
OMG.
Where to begin?
I'll say this: Walt is the devil.
Re: Breaking Bad season finale
Possibly true...but as big a devil as Gus? Maybe? I'm so conflicted now. Let me just make sure I'm right on this...the last shot was Walt's backyard, right? So they're insinuating that Walt "gave" Brock the berries and snuck the ricin out of Jesse's cigarettes so he could point Jesse at Gus when he freaked out about Brock being poisoned. I just need to get that clear in front of me so I know what I'm dealing with.
So basically next season will be about Jesse finding that out.
Oh, and that shot of Gus was bad dream inducing crazy. I didn't see that coming at all.
my read shelf:
I don't remember the last time I watched a show and sat there mouth agape like I did last night - except maybe the first episode of this season where Gus slit the guy's throat with a box cutter.
I loved that they titled the episode "Face Off."
Kim - Yeah. He needed Jesse to be ready to kill Gus and knew he could get him rattled up through Brock. He knew if he didn't have Jesse he couldn't pull it off on his own.
No way, Walt is not the devil. He did what needed to be done. Jesse and Walt had agreed to kill Gus before Brock even got sick. Jesse just needed a little more push once Gus started making him feel important. I agree putting a kid in the hospital is pretty serious stuff, but Walt knew those berries wouldn't kill him. He's a very smart man, always has been.
I'm just glad that Walt finally came through with a plan. All the previous seasons were cool because Walt was super smart and always was 2 steps ahead and knew what to do. I hated how this season he couldn't seem to get ahead of Gus. I knew he would end up doing something big to get him and his family out of trouble. I'm just curious as to what will happen next season. It seems like that could have been the series finale.
I felt that way too. Gus' eerie intuition always made me mad but I liked seeing such a clever plan actually work.
The funny thing is I was sitting there thinking that I couldn't imagine living life stuck in a chair and just making those strange facial movements when he started banging the bell.
Oh, I agree with you there. He's incredibly logical most of the time and is a genius. He's also just going further and further down the road to hell.
It was a great episode. I had completely forgotten about the bomb until Tio kept ringing the bell. I also didn't even think about the plant until Jesse mentioned the Lily of the Valley, and then I remembered when Walt's gun had pointed at that plant in his backyard.
Man, what a show.
