While I don't think anyone I know is, could happen. I don't/ won't pry like that.
I can say that no one I know opening professes to be swingers.

LOL no, nobody propositioned him on FB. Because of the new FB and how you can sometimes see everything that everyone talks about on FB, he found out a guy that lived in his house in college is a swinger. A seemingly pretty open and active one at that.
A former boss of mine and his wife are (were?) swingers. They were very open about it and propositioned my coworker numerous times. She finally accepted and none of it ended well.
The coworker was slutty, the boss was skeezy and his wife was just along for the ride because her husband was extremely wealthy.
Now I'm TOTALLY curious as to who voted that they are/used to be swingers. Anyone wanna 'fess up???
We are most definitely not...goes against pretty much everything in which I believe. However, at a girls' night about a year or so ago with my Pearland moms' group, one of the girls told us that she and her husband are really into swinging. Like, they go to the swingers' bars, go out on "dates" with potential couples, and then go to hotels and...well, swing. OMG. It honestly didn't surprise me to learn this about this particular person, though.

I voted SS because I'm fairly certain I do not currently know any swingers, but - growing up, our next door neighbors were swingers.
The wife was a teacher and the husband had a twin brother...between the three of them and her "teacher friends" - their outdoor hot tub saw a lot of action (hot tub surrounded by 2 story houses, mind you --- who does that?).
My brother and I babysat their kids regularly - it paid well because they were usually out pretty late, so we'd occasionally have a friend or two over to hang out after the kids went to sleep...well, one of my brother's friends snooped around their house and found some pretty terrifying (for 15yr olds) photo and video evidence of their swinging activities. We never babysat again, nor made eye contact with the mom O_O ...and our mom advised the next couple who moved into that house to have the hot tub professionally cleaned
I honestly thought the term only referred to the type of dancing until I moved to Houston several years ago.
If I know anyone who does this and it's not on a dance floor, I don't want to know about it.

I would never be able to be a part of that type of relationship--I am WAY to jealous and would have a difficult time getting over that cheating feeling, but if that is someone else's choice, that is fine. I will admit I am terrible curious about it and would have a ton of questions for a swinger, but only because it's something totally unknown to me, not because it's a lifestyle i am interested in for myself.

At DH's former company, one of his employees told him that they had some friends over one night. While they were waiting for pizza delivery, they "got busy" apparently in front of their guests.
This employee also was known to show naked pics of his wife to other employees. WTF.
#1 Why would you ever tell your boss this.
#2 I assume they engaged in swinging if they were willing to have sex in front of their house guests
#3 We never went near them socially again.
Swinging 60's here we come!
A friend of mine and her husband are. She's a person who has never been single for longer than a few months. She's just not comfortable (or happy) being alone/single. She met her current husband just a couple of months after her divorce. When she shared with me that he was a swinger, I was concerned that she was getting into it merely to be with him, and thus not be alone.
I'm not very close with her anymore, so I have no idea if they still are into it.
