Has anyone ever done pictures in Valley Junction? or any where else that isn't a park? We always go to parks and while the pictures turn out great, I thought maybe we should try something different this time.. we have pictures scheduled for this Friday

Re: outdoor photo spots?
I don't even know where the Jester Park playscape is *off to google*
But I might seriously take you up on your offer of your backyard.. is it totally shaded at 5:30 pm though? I'm sure we will need some natural light and I know my backyard is completely shaded at that time of day. I can't remember which direction your house faces..
Yep, I had photos taken in Valley Junction. You can see them here.
The photographer who took my photos there does lots of shoots in VJ and they always turn out really well. I especially love the green wall in the pic below.

You're welcome to. Our house faces East. The far west part of the yard is shaded (back by the playset and garden) but you could get some great pictures closer to the house on the north and south border of our yard where we've left a buffer of trees between us and the other lots on either side.
The playscape is in Grimes but not too far out. It's got a water feature, stumps, paths, etc. Mostly natural things to play on without it looking like a playground.
One of my fave shots from my shoot there was the black bench with gray wall! Great photos!
