One more flu shot ?: did anyone "react" to theirs?

My mom said that a number of people she knew had "reacted" more seriously to this year's flu shot than those in past years... super sore arms and tingly, numb fingers and well as feeling sick. For those of you who have had them already this year, did you have a different reaction than in years past?

  • DH, DD, and I all had the mist with no reaction.  My ILs and mom all had the shots with no problem.

  • I had my flu shot at work and no reaction... it was tender for maybe 24 hours, but that was all.

  • I haven't gotten mine yet but my two friends that did complained of sore arms and achy feeling.

  • I got mine at work and didn't have any reaction or pain, but shots never bother me anyway. One of my friends had a pretty sore arm the rest of the night at work but was fine the next night. Although I suppose I don't know if that is out of the ordinary for her

  • DS had a flu shot last week (we do not do the mist). He had no reactions - this was his first flu shot. I heard the flu shot this year is the same as last year - not sure if that is accurate. But if it is then the reaction shouldn't be more 'serious' this year than last.

While I know some people truly have reactions - I think most are psychological reactions.
