It is so nice to be at work....
on a federal holiday! No traffic, very few calls or emails, it's nice and quiet in the office...
And LO is teething and snuffly and was up all night last night, so it's nice not to need my brain working!
Re: It is so nice to be at work....
me too, I have no probs working Fed holidays
I'm just glad to not be downtown anymore. Fed holidays = Orange Line track work and shuttle buses between stations (as was the case today). Of course, now that I'm in the 'burbs, I get to deal with everyone shopping at Tysons as I try to commute home from there...! Fingers crossed!

I know, right? Sorry, y'all can't convince me that being in the office was better than a free Monday
I agree. If working on federal holidays is so great, you should all work on weekends, too!

some of us do not get a day off. I don't get Veteran's Day off either. We only get 6 Fed holidays off per year.
