Bitter on Monday
It's Columbus Day and I don't have off. wah wah wah. I have never worked for a place that observes bank holidays. Sad face.
I also have heartburn from eating like crap and drinking 209488 vats of wine this weekend.
Oof. I fell over.
Anyway...had a very busy weekend, but a good one. Lots of time with my girlfriends which always makes me happy, including my MOH who was in from Boston.
Staff meeting today. I don't wanna.
My car is in the body shop for five days. Five days people.

Dude, I am bitter too. I HATE getting up for work knowing that all the stupid government is staying home. Our company uses the Fed leave to dictate snow days and that sort of thing, so why not holidays too?!
I had an okay weekend. Tried to clean up my pig sty of a house, but my pig of a husband likes to go around behind me and re-mess-up everything. I'm STILL sick and getting really sick of doctors not seeming to know their assses from holes in the ground. And the Colts lost (again) yesterday. Boo.

had a great (quick!) weekend, the weather was amazing, race was amazing (and by amazing I mean the hardest thing I have ever done), apple picking was amazing, relaxing was...not long enough!

anyway, here is hoping today flies by so it is tomorrow and I can get my 90 minute full body massage...my body is aching!

Steph- booo for 5 day no car.
I also have to work today but I can't complain because I have thurs/fri off this week and next week because of Jewish holidays. I will take that instead of having today off.
I think I need to only work part time. I got out warly on Friday and I did so much stuff. I went to SS (yes a year later to finally change my name.. shame on me), look at a daycare, went to laundramat, went to Target, found nothing, finally printed off wedding pictures, made my collage of said wedding pictures. I would have went to the mall but my side was really hurting me.
Saturday I waitressed, I think I can no longer do it anymore. I will do next Saturday just so I don't screw them and I can fight through the pain for one more week.
Shauni, you'd better recap that race sister. So proud of you! You rock! Hurry. I don't want to work today.

Monday can suck it. Saturday night was fun. We went out for J's b-day. Dinner and the comedy club with 8 of our friends (4 couples). The comedians were great. J got in free for his b-day and then they also gave him 2 free passes to come back. So they basically paid us $30 value to come there!
On Friday J also found out he has 2 interviews this week. He's very excited!! Bad news is, both of us have sore throats, but when he got up today, on top of the sore throat he was sweating like a crazy man. I feel bad for him. I've had to have an interview when I was sick before and it wasn't my best moment.
Today has been an up and down kinda day. Here is my rollarcoaster of positive/negatives for the day
1. Good news= I've only gained 6 lbs.
Bad news= I GAINED 6 LBS!!!! I'm only freaking out about this since I'm only supposed to gain 15 tops during the entire pregnancy. I feel guilty when I go in and see any gain. My doctor who is also pregnant, is a freaking twig and I feel like some gianormous beast next to her.
2. Good news= starting at 28 weeks I get to have ultrasounds every 4 weeks.
Bad news= it's because my tummy is measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule and they have to make sure baby is growing as he should. (which scares me about possible Gestational diabetes)
3. Good news= A friend on worked on my MBA with just called me and said she won a baby basket at a breast cancer fundraiser this week. She's 54 and has no need for baby stuff. Which means, she's giving me the free breast pump that was in it!!! WAHOO!!!!!!
Bad news= this one doesn't have bad news
4. Good news= I'm going to eat lots of candy on halloween
Bad news= I have to have my gestational diabetes 3 hour test that morning, so that might be the last time I get to have sweets like that for a while.
Can it just be friday already!??!!

Nope. Sinuses. Had a major sinus infection for several months that I didn't know about, which an allergist found b/c I thought it was allergies. I don't think the antibiotics cleared it and now my ears are killing me. The allergist told me to go to a PCP for it. PCP seems like a douche and didn't really listen to me. Told me to take decongestant and plug my nose and blow to clear my ears. Didn't work (as I suspected it wouldn't) now I have to go to an ENT. Unless I can get fixed today, it's not soon enough. Earaches suck. I'm off balance and grumpy.
Sorry. Had to get that out! Now I'm off to read your blog and Shauni's recap to cheer me up. :-)
Xtine - I can't believe you're so close to baby time! I think it's time for another baby bump post. :-) I agree - time to be done with the waitressing and let someone else start waiting on you!
Haha, I did this last Monday. The deal was that I would keep my name unless we had kids.
I am freaking exhausted. We had the first hockey games of the year on Fri and Sat and then yesterday we drove 3 hours (each way!) to watch my brother play hockey. It was really hard not to say anything to my parents. In some ways, I'm being an a-hole about the pregnancy already. H and I are going to my parents house on the 23rd for "Thanksgiving" (a month early) and a few of my uncles/cousins, some of which I haven't seen since June, aren't coming. That's the day we're planning on telling my fam, so if they aren't there, oh well, sucks for them.
Oh, I'm also being a HUGE b!tch today. Stupid hormones.
AND I'm supposed to play soccer tonight and I really don't want to, but if H and I don't go, they won't have enough to field a team. But if we do go, there won't be any subs and I'm not playing a whole game. Grrrrrr.

Oy, Rachel, I had a major rager of a sinus infection last year, and my doctor misdiagnosed me so it lasted for four months and I had earaches, headaches, everything aches. It was utterly awful every day. I feel for you. I hope you're better soon.

HAHA Thank you for that! We had no deal I was just very lazy. I still go by married name just nothing states it.
Also, I will never change it again if we ever divorce. SS was a scary scary place, some guy was swearing at the security officer there. Now since it is changed greg jokes we will now get divorced since I FINALLY changed it.
I am also bitter today. Weekend was good and was spent working on our Halloween yard decorations. So far we have our cemetery fence 75% complete. Coffin is about 50% complete. We will start working on tombstones tomorrow. I'll post pics on fb when we are done. DH also wants to make one of those barrels from Return of the Living Dead (his all time favorite movie). Our house is going to look so creepy this year, I can't wait.
Plans for tonight include going to a local dealership and trying to get my dad a used truck. Then we will work on the decorations. Oh, and MNF of course.

Morning all. Happy as a clam to not be working. Vacay all week. Sorry to rub it in. Weekend was nothing special. Was hoping my week off would be filled w/ nothing but me time. But that has now turned into errand city, cleaning, dr appts, vet appts and what not. Boo hiss.
Had a stream of sucky dreams, the last being which I overheard my knee surgeon telling his PA that he messed up my knee on purpose cuz he gets paid either way. I was screaming and yelling at him and woke up sobbing. Said sobbing turned into migraine and trying to go to zumba this morning was an epic fail
Going to shower and lay on the couch w/ pug and watch bridesmaids. Screw all the obligations!

Same here. Except this year they gave us MLK day off, probably because of a majority of our offices are in the heart of large cities and we're the only sorry ones who would drive or take the train in.
Weekend was mellow and I wish it wasn't over with, that is all.

Hi ladies!
Don't hate me, but I do have the day off from work. BUT, I'm voluntarily working from home this afternoon, because there's so much going on. The county is off but the state isn't, so I'm well within my rights to take it off, but I do feel a little guilty because my state compadres are working.
Went to see daycare #2 of 2 this morning, and it seems fine too. Blech, I can't decide.
Coworker threw us a small shower on Saturday, which was very sweet. Our boss said we should do it on a weekend because otherwise the hourly employees would have to take vacation to go (we were planning a long lunch; the rest of us are salaried). And then none of the hourly folks could make it.
Shauni - congrats on the race! Your photos are great, and I'm so excited for you that it went so well.
Sunshine - my parents left on Friday for Africa, and we're getting emails now. They are absolutely loving it! Between you and them, I think we're going to have to add it to our must visit list.
