Family picture attire PIP POLL & Opinions

So, what do you think of these outfits? I really want to narrow it down to 2, if not just one because, well just because it would be easier all around.

All with nice jeans.

OUTFIT 1

image

WHY I LIKE IT: I'm obsessed with this green. I think this color would look beautiful with a fall backddrop.
WHY I DONT LIKE IT: My husband is not a shirt and tie person, I think the last time he wore a tie was when he wore this tie in his brothers wedding, 3 years ago. The jacket shows a lot of my arms, the one body part I hate showing.

OUTFIT 2

image

WHY I LIKE IT: Everyone looks good in black, Zac looks great in blue! I can add a black cardigan, DH will be comfy. Considered switching Z's shirt white button up w/ black and red stripes.
WHY I DON'T LIKE IT: Kinda borning? Maybe if all 3 of us were in all black it could work with the fall back drop, don't think it does as is.

OUTFIT 3

image

WHY I LIKE IT: We're all comfy, it's blue!! This is most like what we would look like on a nice day out.
WHY I DON"T LIKE IT: The sweater may or may not fit my husband ... actually I am pretty sure it probably doesn't. My outfit reminds me too much of last year, I had grey thank with black cardi... + my neck and the scarf, I like the look but I'm not sold that I pull it off.

  • I leaning towards #1. I *LOVE* that green and agree, it'll look gorgeous with a fall backdrop.

  • I'm going with #1. I really like the green.

  • First choice is 1- love the green. You could maybe wear a long sleeve fitted white shirt under the jacket to fix the arm problem?

Second choice is 3- I like how it's not so matchy.

I'm not a fan of black for family portraits.

  • I like outfit #1 - except you should wear a long sleeve or 3/4 length sleeve underneath (as Tiff said) so that you are comfortable. And your H should not wear a shirt and tie if that is not his norm, and its not what he is comfortable in. Can you find a nice t-shirt, or thermal shirt or something that matches that he can wear?

I am not a fan of "dressing" up just for pictures. It just looks so fake to me. And if people are uncomfortable in what they are wearing, it is going to show in the pictures. But I LOVE the green, so I think you should go with that, and just make some modifications so everyone is happy.

Adorable!  And you look awesome - you should definitely show off that tiny waist!

This clinches #1 for me...#3 was a close second, but if the sweater doesn't fit your H he's going to be uncomfortable.   Maybe for outfit #1 he could just go without the tie?

  • I like #1 the best.  I think I'd probably do a white 3/4 length v-neck top over the l/s crew neck.  I LOVE the green though, it pops so nicely!

I'm so not a fashion person, but you could probably even do a contrasting color top underneath the jacket.

OMG you look so cute!!  That outfit makes you look really skinny!!  It emphasizes your waist and looks great with your coloring.  On a side note can I have your hair...

  • Number 1......can you find a sweater vest in green for DH to wear instead?  If not, I'd go with option 4!  I'm not a fan of black, and 3 looks similar to what you wore last year (if I remember correctly)
  • Love the green, and you look super cute in that jacket (love it with the long sleeve underneath), but everyone in green seems a little matchy-matchy. Maybe keep you in the green jacket and put your DH in the sweater? (or is there another sweater that fits him better that would coordinate with the green?) And then Zac will match you a little too much, so maybe put him in the blue? Then you're all cool colors, but not all green.
  • My vote was for #1 - LOVE that green! and your pic sealed the deal..

You might be nerd, but you're a SKINNY nerd.   I also love your hair.

  • Also, congrats on the weight loss!!  You are looking great!
