Re: Seriously Joanns?

  • I had thought about stopping by when I got off work at 5 p.m. but I passed. I'm sure mine would have been as bad.

  • I hate that!  I've actually complained to the store manager here about the wait times and when that was brushed off I contacted corporate.

It literally took 5 minutes to choose my items for cutting, 35 minutes to get them cut, and then another 30 minutes to pay for them... on a typical weekday evening.  If I didn't have a project to finish I would have put my stuff down and walked away.

  • Ugh - sounds like my Joann's every single weekend. I avoid that place like the plague on weekends and holidays :(
  • Joanns has the slowest service ever.  I've left there beyond irritated by wait times more than once.

  • I ran the other night and was actually surprised at how dead it was. Usually I have a ridiculous wait time.

  • I went first thing in the morning and was there as the doors opened Sunday.  I still waited 45 min.

  • yeah...I usually try to get in there as soon as they open on the weekends.  I find at my local stores the wait to get fabric cut isn't so bad, but the line to actually check out is usually insane.  Very frustrating!

  • I always have an annoying wait at the cutting tables and checkout. I can kinda understand the delay at the cutting table. (KINDA I  figure they just don't have enough people trained for it.) But the cash register?! Not a freakin chance. They are morons if they can't ring up in a timely manner.

  • One time I walked away at the checkout counter because it was getting so ridiculous. I stopped there with time to kill (an hour-ish) before a meeting (mid-work day, not typically a busy time). I waited for about 25min in line at the cutting table, then another 15 because the bolt of fabric I wanted wouldn't scan and they couldn't find one with a UPC, and then an even longer in line at the checkout, then the new cashier couldn't get my coupon to work, then we had to wait for a manager, and then the manager realized the problem was with what had happened at the cutting counter and called back there to have them recorrect the UPC... (I'm 5 minutes late for my meeting at this point) so I just said "I can't wait any longer." and left. I felt like a b*** but I absolutely couldn't keep waiting.

  • Mine was a nightmare this weekend too. I walked in for a quick trip and couldn't even see the end of the line to check out. So I walked right back out.
