Small Business Consultant
A friend of mine is in the process of starting there own business and wants to learn the advantages of setting up what type of corporation, LLC, etc and also how to go about the process in general for businesses in Virginia. I know we have a lot of people that work on their own here, can you recommend a consultant you used or other resources? Thanks!
Re: Small Business Consultant
I'd try to contact the Small Business Administration - there should be a field office.
Also look into local economic development corporations... there's one in our 'hood that's called the Latino Economic Development something-or-other.... but, in looking at their website, there are loans and resources for non-latinos, as well. They offer educational seminars and counseling free or at a low cost (but, some of them are in spanish). http://www.ledcmetro.org/
I think there are some resources out there for women, too... Like meet-up groups and stuff like that.
