Have any of you ladies visited the Biltmore?
I'm going to NC in a couple of weeks and I'm looking for things to do. The tickets to the Biltmore are extremely expensive IMO and I'm wondering if it's worth it. We're staying about 35 minutes from Asheville. I really prefer to spend my vacations at the beach, so I'm looking for things to keep me occupied in the mountains. I can only enjoy the pretty leaves for so long.

I've been to the Biltmore. It's pretty neat. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the grounds. There's also a wine room where you can do tastings - may be extra $$ though. I bet it is gorgeous this time of year.
We go camping in the mountains near Asheville, so usually we are hiking when in the area.
