Re: Show Advice : Vegas

  • I've heard Criss Angel's show is no good... but Zumanity is pretty awesome.  That's about as far as I know.  :)
  • I am a huge Cirque du Soleil fan, so I'd pick KA' or Zumanity... even though I've never seen either of those.  (I have seen 4 of their other shows, and loved every second of them!)
  • The Lion King was awesome.

I saw Zumanity a few years ago and it's hilarious...but extremely risque.

  • We are seeing Zumanity on Saturday so I can let you know next week.  ;)  Ka always gets mixed reviews and Believe always gets panned.

If I had to pick off of that list, I would probably pick The Lion King.

  • We were just in Vegas and almost went to one of the Cirque shows (but ended up seeing Absynthe instead, which was awesome but sadly not on your list).

If it was up to me, out of that list, I'd pick the Lion King or Zumanity. H would immediately veto The Lion King and blindly pick one of the Cirque shows.

  • We saw KA and LOVED IT! :)

OH! I wanted to see Absynthe, but saw Peepshow instead. It was hilarious, but a whole lot of nakedness....I didn't realize that. Matt loved it and said I was the best wife ever!

    I'd say Ka or Zumanity.

  • VIVA Elvis is a Cirque show too, set to Elvis songs, and it tells the story of his life.  I saw it last year and it was AMAZING.  All the Cirque shows are awesome, but so many of them travel, so you can see them here, and The Lion King will come back to town before too long too.

We went for my BFF's bachlorette.  One of the girls with us didn't know a single Elvis song, and she loved it too.

  • Bill's conference took them to see Viva and he thought it was awesome and he's not nearly the Elvis fan that I am.
  • Actually the Lion King will be here at the Dallas Summer Musicals I believe--I think I got something in the mail or something.  I know I saw it somewhere.
  • Two of us have seen Lion King before, so I think we are torn between KA and Viva Elvis. KA has better reviews overall but I love some Elvis!

What a first world problem, right? Which free show should I see on my girl's trip to Vegas?!? Smile

If you really want to see both of those, be adventurous and flip a coin... or let someone else choose for you and let it be a surprise Smile

  • How long are you going to be in Vegas?

We found a coupon that included 2 for $100 KA tickets. Maybe you could see both if it in your budget.

Four days. Would you mind sharing where you found the coupon?

  • When we went to peepshow, they gave us a book called "24/7". In the book it had advertisements that gave out coupon codes. We went to the ticket office and picked up tickets for the next day. I think the coupons are good for the next day shows unless you call them really early. While walking around someone just passed another copy out to us too, so I know you can get them walking around.

  • I wonder if it was the same booklet my mom got! I saw it, and wished I'd taken one -- but when I saw those guys handing them out, I was so used to saying "no" to everything I didn't stop to consider it might be something worthwhile. It had a huge of really good coupons.

They were handing them out during the day right where you get off the down escalator from the over-the-street walkway right at the corner in front of Bally's (and on that side of the street).

  • I've seen the Lion King and Zumanity. Lion king will be at DSM next season. I recommend Zumanity. We sat a few seats from the front and it was great. We are going back to Vegas in March and I hope to see a few other shows.
