This is hopeless.
I've had this bottle of apple juice in my fridge for like 2 weeks. I really want to drink it but I cannot get the freaking cap off no matter how hard I try.
I am doomed to fantasize about this apple juice until my H can come home and open things for me again.

This made me giggle, simply because DH is always coming to me to open stuff for him.
But I am sorry your apple juice is being evil and tempting you.
Ditto about the hot water. The sugar probably hardened and basically glued the cap, so the hot water helps. Also, sometimes smacking around the lid with a spoon or a knife will help too.
It drives me nuts when that happens, especially when H is gone. After my wrist surgery I lost strength and only really notice it when I try to open tight lids and things. I also may be known to have just cut a hole in the plastic because I'm so aggravated with it.
OMG SUCCESS. I knew I hung around here for a reason.
Winning combination= Hot water + knife + beating

Mary, I'm glad you got your apple juice open!! It sucks to want or need something and not be able to do it on your own. It's like the universe is being extra mean. My issues, when DH is gone, are typically computer related. It frustrates me when the Army deploys my IT guy.

I too have been known to poke a hole in the bottle.
Mary win/win for you. You got to get apple juice and you also go to take it out on the bottle. HAA
