So sad for friends re: their baby

Some very dear friends of mine were due to have a baby early next month.  Mom was having pre-term labor and was on bed rest but ended up in the hospital shortly after that.  She had to have an emergency c-section because of placental abruption last week and their son passed away yesterday due to the complications of her labor.  My heart is so heavy for them tonight.

If you're the praying type, would you add them to your list?  I don't even know what to say to even remotely comfort them.  This just sucks.

Re: So sad for friends re: their baby

  • I can't imagine how painful that would be- sending all the love in the world!
  • I am so sorry...how stunningly painful.  I can't even imagine the sorrow.  My prayers...absolutely!
My baby girl is a married woman...and now my baby girl HAS a baby girl. Time unfolds in such an amazing way. I've been blessed!
  • That is so so sad.  Sad  I'll be praying for them.  There's not much you can say in a situation like this but just being available to listen or help with a meal or cleaning can go a long way while they go through the grieving process.
  • That's heartbreaking. I hope they get lots of love, comfort and support. They're in my thoughts.

  • I can't even begin to fathom the emotions your friends are experiencing right now. I will keep them in my thoughts.

I don't know there is anything you or anyone else can say to them. I wish your friend strength and peace on her road to recovering from this...although I honestly don't know if that is even completely possible. *hugs*
