Ditto. Am I the only one who thinks that as a true Seattleite: A) You only use an umbrella if it's actually RAINING - the whole drizzle thing doesn't count and
You only use an umbrella if you're doing a significant amount of walking? I do too much driving where constantly opening and closing an umbrella just to get from my car to wherever is a waste of time and energy. Plus, that's why I have some coats with hoods.

Exactly. Heck I don't even own a rain coat. I just have hooded sweaters. I really don't care if I get wet I will dry off fast enough.

This. I have one (somewhere). I almost never use and would only use if it's really raining and I'm dressed up and going somewhere fance and/or have a long way to go.
On the east coast it has crazy sudden downpours (where in 5 min you are as wet as if you jumped in a pool in all your clothes), but I don't carry an umbrella and refused to duck under an awning at first b/c I ain't scared of no rain. I learned...if it rained like that, I'd grab an umbrella.
