I will be tying the knot! Pretty excited... And in less than that we are flying to the Turks and Caicos where the wedding will be. Getting married and out of the November cold; it's a win win!
Re: In One Month...
So exciting! I've never been to the Turks & Caicos so you'll have to report back about how you like it.
How many guests are attending?
So exciting! We got married last December in Jamaica....it was wonderful!
This month will fly by....hold on tight
There are 31 people (counting myself and FI). Just family and the small bridal party. My parents own a condo on Providenciales, Turks and Caicos so that is where the wedding is. On the beach in front of the resort they own at.
Turks is beyond beautiful. If you ever get a chance to go do it! Don't hesitate just book.
Please share lots & lots of pictures. Can we see your dress now?
I have two dresses, a beach dress for the ceremony, and an actual gown for the big home reception we are having afterwards. This is the beach dress. I hope this works...
Agreed! That dress is gorgeous! Is that you in the pic?
I really wanted to book a Turks & Caicos trip a few weeks ago when a great hotel deal came up on one of the many travel bargain sites. But I looked at temps and it seems like a lot of the time it would be too warm for DH's liking (he gets uncomfortable once it hits 80). Someday....
Thank you ladies!
Rock: That is not me in the picture (i wish!). I won't have a picture of me in it until after the wedding. FI gets curious about wedding stuff so I couldn't have evidence lying around. And it is never overly hot in the Turks. It stays at about 83 and there is always a nice breeze. You should really talk him into it. Plus if he stays in the ocean he'll never get hot.
We haven't even been married 2 years yet. I think it's kind of early to renew our vows. Lol. Maybe someday. In the meantime, I'll just enjoy everybody else's wedding.

Maybe a second honeymoon then lol. Any excuse to travel right...
Our local reception is at a banquet hall in our hometown. Going to be one HUGE party. That dress is from david's bridal so if I remember what it's called I can find it and share the link. But it's a full length gown with beading. Strapless, with a bit of added lace on the breast area. I got it in ivory instead of white though. I thought the dress looked nicer in ivory, and plus my beach dress is very white.
That sounds fun! To where?
Yay! That is so exciting!
That dress is also available with another piece that makes it full length, right? I hope you'll show us pictures when you're back!
I will most definitely post pictures! However, no there is no full length on that dress. It is a beach wedding dress, casual. The real deal gown is for the reception.
Thanks! I hope so.
We went on a cruise for our honeymoon & had the worst weather ever. It was only nice 1 day. Cozumel & grand Cayman were stops on that cruise. We didn't really enjoy Cozumel because it was raining. And the seas were too rough to get off the boat in Grand Cayman. So its sort of like a honeymoon do-over (except DH's family will be with us this time).
He doesn't like water either and doesn't really swim. His eczema doesn't do so well with getting wet, so I can't blame him. BUT, I do know there's volleyball on the beaches there so that might convince him to go, haha!
I'm so jealous that your parents have property there.
Oh, how exciting! A friend of mine went there with her husband for their honeymoon, and they loved it.
Good luck getting ready - it'll be here before you know it!
When I was planning my wedding, I remember seeing a dress similar to yours that had a skirt that attached from underneath to turn it into a full skirt. I thought it was so cool.
Congrats MFM!! I've never been but I've heard T&C is gorgeous - it was on our list of places when we started looking at honeymoon spots. Maybe one day...
I totally do this too!! DH loves it - he'd get married again in a heartbeat. We've already talked about doing a vow renewal...maybe at the 5 year mark.
I saw one a David's Bridal like that. It is pretty neat!
