I thought that could be a possibility, too, but do you think they would do a blatant rip-off of "The Others?"
I'm calling it right now - everyone in the house is dead. Jessica Lange, her daughter, Tate, the vampire king of Louisiana, the slutty/old maid - everyone.
Totally what I told DH. I believe this too...I mean who walks into a stranger's house whenever they want to unless you have a key not possible..only if you are a ghost.
I think the family is alive though..they are the victims. And man the husband's got issues. Heard of self control...guess not lol
It was creepy...we liked it. def going to watch the next episode.

And I loved it. Although I am a big baby and it really creeped me out.
But I will definitely keep watching. DH said it might be too weird for him, but I hope he sticks with it.
There was just so much going on in the first episode though, I was tired by the time it was over.

My DH was all about watching it and I was reluctant, but I liked it well enough. Very creepy. We'll see where the plot goes.
Oh, and ditto ripping off "The Others". That was the first thing I said to DH when it was over.
I like the concept.
One day the networks will realize that a drama doesn't have to involve cops, doctors, or lawyers.

Hello, how has no one mentioned all of Dylan McDermot's nude scenes. He is one hot piece, if only his character wasn't such an a$$.
I too think that the people the family is interacting with are ghosts. I want to know what the dad's shrink patient has tennage dude has to do with everything.
The first scene broke my heart and the opening credits/theme song really freaked me out.
I'm super late but I just got around to watching it. I loved it! I couldn't imagine seeing Connie AKA Tammy in such a different role so soon but I totally bought it and loved it. I was so confused but in a good way. Like another poster, I didn't see the erotic stuff coming but I'm okay with it.
I like the "they're all dead" theory- not for the new family though.
Will definitely keep this show on the DVR schedule! (And just make sure not to watch it alone.)

Super late to the thread, but I just got around to watching it today...
The whole time I was watching, I also assumed everyone was dead- a la "The Others." Lots to support the theory- he had no info on the deranged teenage patient when he called to report, the maid changing age depending on who's looking at her, etc.
But how would the girl with Downs have aged if they were all dead?
I do think the family is definitely alive. The daughter interacts with people at school, and I think the mother is going to have some evil demon baby.

She might have died after the twins did, or it's something a lot like the maid where some see her at different ages.
