T&Ps Request and Hug Those You Love
I don't ask for T&Ps often, but I got some sad news about a friend today. My friend Laura was diagnosed and admitted to the hospital last November and has bravely been battling hypoplastic myelodysplastic sydrome (MDS) since then. She received a bone marrow transplant this July and while it seemed at first she'd recover, there have been major complications. She was admitted to hospice today and her family says the end is near. I'm beyond sad for her, her husband, and her family. She's only 27, her husband is in the Army and was deployed to Afghanistan for the first year of their 3 year marriage, and she's spent this last year states away from him as she's been fighting this disease. I think of all the time they didn't get to spend together, of all the things she will never experience and I'm just heartbroken.
If you girls could spare any T&Ps for Laura, Matt, and their family, I'm sure they'd appreciate it. And remember to always value and appreciate the ones you love, because you never know what tomorrow holds. Thanks girls. And if you'd like to read about Laura's story you can see it here.
