Do you know any cheaters?

Just in the past 24 hours, I've learned of two husbands who are/have been cheating on their wives - one whose wife gave birth two weeks ago and was just released from the hospital days ago due to major complications.  He told her he was leaving via text.  Dude's lucky he's still alive, IMO.

Anyway,  I guess I always assumed this was pretty uncommon.  It seems, maybe, it's not?

So, do you know any cheatin' fools?

Re: Do you know any cheaters?

  • Hahahaha.  Yeah.  Yeah I do.

Fun fact, did you know that EMS doesn't stand just for Emergency Medical Services?  It also stands for ExtraMarital Sex!

  • Odd timing....just last night I found out about one. Seems that the wife (I'm no longer calling her my friend) knows & has known (the d-bag husband just didn't know that she knew) and she isn't doing a dang thing about it! As long as he is still bringing home a paycheck and she doesn't have to work....she doesn't care.

Also (total TMI) I have been on the other end of the cheating scale. After my divorce oh so many moons ago, I would go out with this guy from work on occasion. Nothing serious at all. I found out a few months later that he was married and had 3 kids! I wanted to rip his nuts out!

  • Can I also add....I find it VERY funny that your little avatar is cooking related. Did you pick that or did the nest gods pick that based on your posts? Yes, you can flip me off now. :)

  • Yes, I know several.  Sickening, but so true.  And all men, so I have a bad perception of men and cheating in general.  I don't know any currently cheating though.

Edit:  DH was cheated on, so I guess I do know someone with a female cheater, but most of the ones I know are men (which has no bearing on what gender does it more, just how my perception is).

  • Yep!  I know a few.  What I find commical is 2 of the cheaters I know cheated on the people they were with to be with each other.....so I always think, how can you have trust in them.  If they were willing to cheat for you, why do you think they would not cheat again to be with another person?

I also just found out about another couple who the guy is cheating on his wife with one of my skids former teachers.

Well damn, I don't see it!  It is LOL-worthy; I have never been a cook, not currently a cook and will never, ever be a cook.  There's not much I hate worse, actually!  Unfortunately, I have to feed my family and eating out everyday is not either healthy nor cost-efficient.  Perhaps Jack will learn how to cook soon. . .

  •  I don't know of anything going on right now, as far as close friends/family, but for some reason, out of this small, closee group of friends that hung out with and was pretty close to in college, three of them have either been cheated on, or have cheated on their SO with someone else of the same sex...

One of the guys was engaged to a girl that hung out with us as well and a few months before the wedding he told her that he was gay and had met a guy at work, I think? that he'd been cheating on her with for a while.  I guess she's married now and everyone has lost touch with her, and he's in a long term reletionship with a great guy, not the one he cheated on her with.

Another guy friend, (who actually just got remarried over the weekend) found out his first wife was cheating on him with her 'best friend', also a girl, about 6 months after they got married.  His best friend (first guy mentioned above) caught her with her girlfriend at a bar making out and told him.

A dirt bag I dated in College for like 3 years (part of this same group of friends) is living with his parents again after his wife kicked him out because he has been cheating on her with some girl we went to college with AND at the same time another guy we knew from college, who is a gay.  The guy he was (is?) messing around with is friends with guy from story #1, who is really good friends with ex's wife, so had to tell her too. It's sort of the joke that he's the one that gets to tell everyone's SO's that they are cheaters I guess.

    Sad.

Dang....now it changed to a girl with long blonde hair and a guy.

Funny we all know men cheaters because, according to studies, women are the more likely cheater.  Hmm...  I wonder if women are just better at keeping it secret.  Iiiiiiiiiiiiinteresting, says my psychology-loving self.

  • BSC co-worker?  That's a double wammy.  She cheated on her H, and her beau was cheating on his fiance (and then wife).

I believe that has come to a stop though...because Cheater Dude's wife is now pregtarded.

This is what annoys me. I'm sure it is very hard when the situation actually happens but I've told DH if he ever cheated he better run for the hills b/c I would want to kill him. I just can't imagine being cheated on and then sleeping in the same bed with that person and still loving them.

  • Shannie - CAH-RAZY stuff!
  • I know a guy who cheated on his wife with a girl I know who is also married. So I know them both. My cousin's husband cheated on her....with a guy......They are divorced now though and he's off with the guy that he cheated on my cousin with still. My cousin said most recently they were on that "flip this house" or something of the sorts on HGTV. And thats the last she has seen him. I do not believe they live around here anymore.

Yes. This is why I have no close college friends...they are all WAY too close to eachother.  :)  I met all of them basically through one of my BFF's from HS, so she keeps me in on the loop of their drama.

  • We found out a couple months ago that my BIL was cheating on his wife.... with their neighbor, who is married and has a 2 yr old. It makes me sick and I feel so terrible for my SIL. She deserves way better than that. It's been a loveless marriage for a very long time. She had suspected something was going on with all the texting going on between the two, then the mistress' husband came to her door with emails confirming it. She immediately took all the bedding from the master (they haven't slept in the same room for as long as I've known them) and burnt it in the fire pit then moved all his crap to the garage. He was in Des Moines on a "work trip" and the neighbor was apparently there with him. He's now living in an apt and still seeing her.

  • There's always cheating stories here at work. I know of several with my friends, but the woman cheating stories are always the best. 1) friend slept with her BFF's husband. It was in small town NE, so every time I go back, I have to get the update about where in town we can go. 2) friend at work was cheating with another co-worker and doing a terrible job of hiding it. She was so obvious, it was comical. 3) DH's friend bought his FI new boobs and a trainer before tHeir wedding. She started sleeping with the trainer, and DH's friend wanted his fake boobs back. We got a card in the mail the week before the wedding calling it off. Small town awesome.

  • Yes. I know of one guy (have known him since we were high school-aged) who cheated on his girlfriend with a few different men. He is now married and I see them regularly. Hard not to think of that when I see him.

  • A few... I have a few juicy stories from DH's cousin who is raising his stripper/prostitute ex-wife's 4 kids (2 are his, 2 aren't) and a friend who kicked her husband out after he was sleeping with her best friend, in their bed, while my friend was in the hospital for medical issues...

  • This floors me. There's suspicion of some stuff around work (just one) but I had no clue it was so common. I'd be totally heartbroken if Kelly cheated on me.

  • My ex-H cheated on me, at least emoitionally, but based on texts I saw, I would be willing to bet it was much more than that.  Hence, why he is an ex.

Just to be fair, you can't always believe the rumors you hear.  I would never cheat on DH, but because people act like they are 12 years old, and I am only of few females in my profession, people have started rumors before that I am screwing someone.  And even though DH trusts me, it still causes stress! I feel like I can't be nice to anyone without some rumor starting.  It really sucks.

    bingo! Same here dude..

  • Sadly in my profession it seems extremely common.  Not saying this is true everywhere but off the top of my head I know of 8 co workers who have or who are cheating.  Yes mainly men, but also 2 women who are cheating on their husbands.  It is pretty sickening to me.  It boils down self image in my opinion.  Have a little self worth and respect for your spouse.  Again sickening, but so so so common in my profession...and I am sure in other professions too.

  • I know several cheaters, and it's a pretty even mixture of men and women.  My DH and I and a couple of other couples are currently in the process of cutting most of an entire group of friends out of our lives because of infidelities between themselves and others outside of the group.  We have gotten tired of lying for the cheaters and making sure we keep quiet about certain things.  I'm too old to be playing games like these.  We need less drama in our lives when it comes to friends.

  • I know several cheaters too.  It's disgusting.  I can't imagine losing that much respect for someone to go and cheat.  I've never been cheated on but DH has.  We have a pact...if either of us is tempted, leave the marriage first.  Don't cheat on me.  Just leave and, while I'll hate you, at least the marriage won't be over due to cheating.  It's appalling.

DH and I were at a wedding a few years ago only to find out the NIGHT before that the bride and groom were supposedly cheating on each other, had been for awhile and neither of them saw anything wrong with it.  It made watching the wedding ceremony the next day extremely difficult.

DH's 2 cousins (sisters) cheated on their husbands around the same time.  One got divorced and moved in with her "lover."  The other stayed with her husband.  I look at both of them and that's all I see sometimes.
