  Ha!  I like this.

  I've often asked myself, "Why do I call these 'tennis' shoes?  When was the last time I attempted to play tennis?  They're actually trail runners, but I've never called them that."

  I agree with this...although I voted sneakers, b/c I think I call those types of shoes sneakers....but also use running shoes and gym shoes.

  shoes...

  the rest of my footwear I refer to them  as my  boots, danskos, flip flops or flats.

  I voted tennis shoes. But then when I really thought about it I actually call them work-out shoes. I never ever where any form of tennis shoe/sneaker unless I am working out. Hence, work-out shoes.

  Running shoes. IMO, sneakers are the pumas I wear for errand running on the weekend.

  I call tennis shoes and sneakers the same thing. So I just did SS. I used to wear cross trainers to the gym for lifting and what not, now i just wear my worn out running shoes.

  lol. i didn't read the preface to this clicky and i was thinking "oh sht, i don't know the difference!" and i was having a minor panic attack because the girls on this board were so savvy on shoes, i felt dumb . then i realized it's because they are (roughly) the same thing..and that was the point of the clicky............right?
