I know someone with this name and she says Emma-lynn, so that's what I checked though when I read "Emma-lynn" I think of a Southern two name name like Mary-Sue or something. She doesn't say it like that, its all one word like Emmalynn.
If that makes sense. I think it's beautiful - I suggested it to DH too since he loves Emily, as do I, but it's very popular here.
This is my cousin's middle name. She pronounces it Emma-line.
I'm assuming its a regional difference.
See I wonder about that too, and I think the -leen pronunciation may be regional, but as for Lynn and Line, I guess people have the same confusion with Madeline.
I see it as either Emma-leen or Emma-line, since I know both.
For what it's worth, I love the name
