Who has attended tapings of NYC television shows?
DH and I are visiting NYC in December and would like to see a taping. Of course we would prefer SNL or Letterman but given it appears to be almost impossible to obtain tickets we are looking for other suggestions. I was also considering just going to the Today Show (I don't think you need tickets). What shows have you seen? How easy was it to get tickets? How was the overall experience? TIA!

I've seen Regis and Kelly and Letterman. I sent in a card for tix to R&K, but a friend got tix for Letterman. I also stood in line for Conan O'Brien (when he taped here) but didn't get in. You can line up for standby tix for any live show, you just never know if you'll get in. And in December it'll be really cold to stand outside for nothing.
It might be easier to get tix to newer shows, like Dr. Oz or Nate Berkus. Check their websites.
