Any vacuum recommendations....
Does anyone have any vacuum recommendations, I am looking for something for both wood floors and carpet, and good for pet hair... I would love a dyson but I can't spend 400+ on a vacuum.... TIA!!

We have 2 cats and 2 dogs and it picks up fur really well, off of anything. It does hardwood, we've only used it once or twice and it worked okay, DH just thinks sweeping gets it cleaner.
Do you have a dyson? are they really that great and worth the money?
Absolutely. We registered for it for our wedding shower so we didn't need to shell out the cash, but it's been worth every proverbial penny!

if you don't mind me asking which dyson do you have? Maybe i should just bit the bullet and buy one, I figured if I buy one then maybe I don't have to buy a new one for a years.

We've had it 2 years and it is outstanding.
It is one of the only vacuums that has a HEPA filer (Dysons used to in their allergy model that has since been discontinued), and you have the ability to change settings for everything from bare floor to plush carpet.
It also has a spinning brush that pulls up every ounce of hair in our house- pet or human.
