Well I went to see the specialist for my GD. Turns out it went better than I had planned. I don't feel the anxiety anymore and I am so thankful!
They test my blood sugar when I was there and it was supposed to be no more than 120 and it was 101. This was good. He explained that it isn't anything I did as a person, it's just basically "bad luck". It made me feel better hearing him say that because I was really kind of being hard on myself. I will have to test my sugars 4x a day, once when I wake up and 2 hrs after breakfast lunch and dinner. The machine that I'll be receiving didn't hurt AT ALL when I pricked my finger and that was where most of my anxiety was coming from. I am supposed to chart my numbers for 4 weeks and then we'll go from there. I see him every 2 weeks for now (as long as my numbers stay within the "normal" range) and I do have a special diet to follow. It's nothing I'm not already doing so that's good.
I did get to see my little guy for about an hour. The ultrasound tech wanted to get measurements of him and check the amniotic fluid. It was nice to see him again since it's been about 10 weeks. She switched the machine over to 4D and we got to see his cute little face!

He's pretty flexible too. His feet are all the way to his eyes! The dr predicts him to be about 9 or 9.5lbs at birth because he's already 4 lbs. He is measuring 2 weeks ahead and I will be induced December 14th as long as everything continues to go well.
Thank you all for the well wishes!
Re: Dr's Appt Update & PIP
I'm so glad your appointment went well and you are a little more comfortable with the situation and realized that it isn't your fault!
Parker measured 4-5 weeks early from 22 weeks on and he was born a day before my due date and was 8 lbs 5 oz. The u/s tech estimated him to be in the 9 pound range. Keep in mind that those measurements are guesses and they can fluctuation something like 20% (which is around a pound) and that is a lot in a baby.
Well hello Baby Lucas! You sure are cute!
Glad to hear things are going better!
Glad to hear it went well! The finger pricks would give me anxiety too, but I'm glad that you're feeling ok with it all.
Love the picture!!
That is pretty common. Along with swelling (water retention). Just keep an eye on your BP and you should be fine! I'm so excited for you both!
