Dexter - Last season (spoilers from previous seasons)

DH and I watch the season once it is on dvd, so basically we are always a year behind.  I must say I was kind of disappointed with how the last season ended, there was not a big cliffhanger (like the season before that with Rita dying).  Really the only big thing hanging out there was that Quinn "knows" about Dexter.

So, without spoiling too much for me, how does this season start out?

Re: Dexter - Last season (spoilers from previous seasons)

  • Hmm... Rita dying wasn't really a big cliffhanger. She died and we knew she was dead. Every season has an ending that essentially wraps up the major story of the season and that season it was the end of the Trinity Killer. We weren't left hanging at all.

ANYWAY I've always felt that every season starts off kind of slow and then builds like crazy. This season is on a whole new level- really weird religion stuff (I think), snakes in dead bodies and lots of new characters. That's my best summary without too many spoilers. LOL

I always end up enjoying every season more than I expected to. I am very happy that its back!

Yeah, I agree.  Maybe I meant more like "wow..what an ending" type feeling. When Rita died..I was shocked..didn't expect that at all.  I kind of saw it coming this past season when Dexter changed the blood sample so Quinn wouldn't be in trouble...there wasn't any huge "wow" moments at the end.

I also agree that things start out slow.  Maybe I should read the books to hold me over for another year!

  • If you don't want to wait, Showtime put the first episode up on YouTube and if you have an iPhone check out the Crackle app
  • You can watch the episodes online for free here: http://www.free-tv-video-online.me/internet/dexter/

When a window comes up asking you to sign up, just click "Remind me later" in the corner. There will be pop ups, but just close them. I've been using the site for a year with no problems. I usually select "novamov" files to watch because they seem to load/play quickly.

and its super creepy. i love it and then feel kind of bad. but i can't ever stop watching.

  • It's becoming too obvious that Dexter becomes magically single every season... you can pretty much count out any women he ends up with!
