NW Dog Boarding?... and job search?
Hey everyone, I know I haven't popped in here in awhile, but I have two questions... Does anyone have any recs for dog sitters or boarding places in the NW burbs? H and I are going out of town for our anniversary in a month, and our friend had to cancel on watching our two dogs. In the past we've always used WoofDah (awesome. highly recommend!) but they're in the SW burbs. We live up by 694/252 now, so it's a little too far of a drive.
Second- any recommendations on places to job hunt? I currently work in higher ed, but at this point I'm kind of up for anything. I really have no idea what I want to do (helpful, huh?) so any tips on finding jobs or narrowing career choices would be awesome.
Thanks
Re: NW Dog Boarding?... and job search?
I know that there is a camp bow wow in Plymouth? I have no personal experience with this facility but I think I remember hearing decent things about this kennel. If you are willing to drive a bit Rin Tin Inn in Elk river, or All seasons Canine Country Club in Rogers.
Is one of you dogs a Kelpie?! They are both super cute.
Thanks
I'll look those up too.
The dogs are both husky mixes. Puckett is the black one; he's husky and Golden Retriever (that refuses to fetch). He's a year and a half old. Levi is the tan one; as far as we know, he's a husky/Shepherd mix and he's almost a year old. They're monsters.

We have used Camp Bow Wow in Plymouth as well and have nothing but great things to say about them. We have used them for daycare and for overnight care. For overnight care you can drop them off any time on drop-off day and pick them up anytime prior to closing on pick-up day so it is like getting two days of daycare. A lot of boarders make you pick up the pet in the morning of pick-up day or pay extra to keep them there longer. Your dogs will come home tired!
You do need to provide Camp Bow Wow with proof of vaccinations prior to your daycare day and as a PP said they also require you to bring your pet in for a free trial to make sure it is a good fit for both your pet and for them (i.e. your dog isn't aggressive to other dogs and your dog is not anxious or nervous being with so many other dogs). I think it is an excellent idea! Good luck with your search!
Well I guess I'm calling Camp BowWow on my lunch today! Thanks ladies
I've been poking around on their site, and it looks awesome. Do you guys know how big the 'cabins' are? Think I can put our two dogs in the same one? I'm worried they won't have enough room (one is 70lb and the other is 50ish). But I think they'll hate us if we separate them
I can't believe how reasonable these rates are, too.

Our favorite place is Hot Dog Walking in Saint Louis Park (if that isn't too far for you). It's a smaller place so I feel like you get more of a personal touch. We have used them for coming to our house to walk the dogs during the day, doggy day care, boarding, and grooming and we haven't had one complaint yet. We like the smaller aspect of it but everyone has their own wants/needs.
