Re: Any Paris ladies on line? Train strike ??

  • ooh that sucks :( someone is striking or demonstrating pretty much all the time. Is this the strike because of the crazy man who put a rail worker in the hospital or the general strike against who knows what (I  think I read something about striking against hypothetical austerity measures). Do other European countries strike this much or is it a France thing?
  • I'm pretty sure it's a French thing.  The Swiss seriously mocked them for it.

  • lol they are hard-core about their right to strike. Mostly I find it lightly amusing until H and I got stuck in Lille coming back from Brussels because they were striking. I was pissed.
  • Yes I am French and can't stand train workers striking all the time. But that's how it is. I am glad I don't have to worry about this anymore since I used to commute to Paris everyday.

  • There was a general strike on Tuesday, sometimes the trains strike a bit longer. It's really annoying how much the French strike.
