Mr. Darcy is generally my default, but man Peeta Mellark is a very very close second. Eric from the Sookie books comes in third.

I do love Henry DeTamble (Time Traveler's Wife) too.
It used to be Mr Darcy, but then I decided that he's the archetypal male that every woman hopes to land: distant, but secretly warm, brilliant, and caring. A sad past that you can fix and fill with your love, making him an amazing family man. Oh, and he's devastated by you even though you have a moronic, obnoxious family.
Yeah. I now can't read that without bitterness because it doesn't happen.
Anyway, since we're going for completely unrealistic, I ditto Eric the Viking. Book Eric, not neutered Show Eric.
hahaha! My CW sends me pictures of Alex Whatshisname because she thinks we share the infatuation with him. I don't have the heart to tell her that it was the CHARACTER, and now that the show has deviated so far, he doesn't do anything for me.
I'm also in love with Lucivar in the Black Jewels Trilogy.
