1. I love that the camera is on the lock screen. You need to double tap your home button while it's locked for it to pop up though. I had to Google to figure out why it wasn't just showing up on my normal lock screen.
2. I look forward to using the iMessage. It'll be a few days probably as people slowly update their devices. You use it in the same area where you text message AFTER you enable iMessage in your Settings under Messages. Then, when you do type to someone who also has iMessage enabled the texting bubbles and Send button will be in Blue. While the regular texting that is non iMessaging will still be in Green.
3. I really think that the Over The Air device updating will be convenient. We'll see what it's like when there is an iOS5 update.
4. I like the reminders
5. The Notifications drop down bar at the top is similar to the Androids but I like that it's hidden within the top of the phone. I had an Android phone where you could always see the bar up at the top. You can edit what is in your notifications bar by going to your Settings.
Re: iOS5 -- what do you think of it?
i like the reader button, thanks for pointing that out... i wish it showed the whole thread that way though!
i was playing with the custom vibration for contacts.. thats an interesting feature. i haven't figured out the LED alert... where is it???
Custom vibrations and led lights? Hmm, I'll look into. It!
I JUST figured out how to see these banners! That's awesome!
Also, thanks for the tip about the camera. NOW I get it!
I don't get this. Where? Safari? Firefox?
To turn on the LED alart you go into Settings, General, Accessibility, and then Turn on LED lights.
The vibrations customization is in Settings, General, Accessibility, and then Custom Vibrations.
The Reader button is a small clickable grey button that shows up in the furthest right hand side of the url bar when you are using Safari.
Unfortunately, it's not being consistent with the Nest. It was when I made the post but through out the day it wasn't showing up for all of the posts.
I turned on the led alert yesterday after i posted that but never saw it. This morning my alarm went off and it started to flash. I hated it so it's now turned off.
I love that we can type in the reply box now without using the HTML box or messing with java.
Great thread! Testing the ability to type in the reply box now.
Now testing ability to edit...
Holy cow, the ability to edit is worth the upgrade all by itself, LOL. No more rotten phone typos!
