speakers in your ceiling?

Does anyone have speakers in your ceiling?

Any idea what this would cost?   Rough estimates are good!   I'm open to numbers for new construction or if you had it done after you had drywall in place.

Thanks.

Re: speakers in your ceiling?

  • DH did it himself.  It was really easy but he's really good with that kind of stuff in general.  The most annoying part was running the wires even with the guide pole thing.

ETA:  Nevermind...I didn't read all the way through to see that you were looking for estimates :)

  • We did it in our old house after the house was complete and we did it in the new house during construction.  My cousin owns Elite Custom Technology and he did it both times for us.  There number is 402 - 525 - 860 three.  Its not hard to do it after construction is complete.  They do it all the time!  You wont regret putting them in.  We use them every single day!!

  • We have speakers in our ceiling in our downstairs.  I didn't really like the idea of it first, now I love it!

The cost all depends on the system set up you have an how good of quality speakers you want.

DH has done this type of work for years (existing and new construction homes) and has done a couple of different Nesties homes. I will tell you I think it is easier and cheaper to do it before drywall. If you want more details PM me.

    Either way good luck!
