I know it's really early on for this...
but we've finalized our boy name. DH and I have a hard time agreeing on names and had the worst time with Natalie and her boy-name counterpart last go around. Somehow through the grace of God we've come to a decision on a boy name and are both very, very happy with it (which inevitably means we will have a girl, since we are at a stalemate there. Good thing time is on our side.)
If we have a boy, his name will be Harrison.
/aw moment.

Cute!
ETA: Is he going to carry on DH's name as a mn? I feel like you were thinking of that b/c H's name was a family name? Or, maybe that wasn't you....
Ah, good question. The name was Gavin and we won't be using it for two reasons, really. First, I strongly attach that name to my previous pregnancy because I was so sure it was a boy, and that makes me feel like we're done with it. I know it doesn't make a lot of sense.
Secondly, we both decided that while Gavin is a great name, we want something a little more classic and less trendy. Gavin has had a significant jump in popularity in the last 10 years and isn't even ranked prior to the 50s, whereas Harrison has stayed pretty solid in mid-popularity over the last 100 years. One of the things I love best about Natalie's name is that you see it in credits for old movies and whatnot; it's multi-generational.
No, you're right, that's me.
DH is the 8th Walter, all with different middle names. 90% likelihood is that he will be Walter Harrison and go by his middle name. There is a slight possibility DH may decide to reverse them. I don't mind either way.
I totally understand your thinking. I never thought of it like that, and I also was convinced Abby was a boy and asked DH to double check that she was a girl when she was born! LOL
I also agree on wanting classic names. I like when siblings names flow well together. I am a big fan of classic/traditional names too! I'm not that into the name Harrison, but do agree it is classic. But, when I see Harrison, I always think of the name Henry too, which I love!

Hwaaaa, you and everyone else!
I swear if we get a dog I'm naming him Max just so I can sing the song Homer Simpson sings when he renames himself Max.
Austin topped my list for potential baby Power names.

Wow how coincidental! I love the name Landon but had a really nerdy pest by that name. Being two teachers ruins a lot of names as I'm sure you know!
Our crazy, wonderful life
Love it! We just had a new guy start here yesterday with that name and I was thinking how much I liked it.
