Disney Shades of Green

Has anyone stayed at Shades of Green?  H's friend is getting married at Disney next summer and we are considering staying there as opposed to a hotel outside of Disney or one of the Disney resorts.  We would be staying 2 nights

Re: Disney Shades of Green

  • We did not stay at shades of green we just went there to get our park tickets, but Disney offers a military discount on their rooms and some of them were an even better deal than Shades of Green so you might want to give them a call too. If you are into golf though Shades of Green would be the way to go.

Oooh, I didn't think about a regular room discount.  Thanks for the heads up.  Do you by happen chance know far out they book?  The wedding is the first weekend in July

  • We stayed at Shades of Green while DH was home on R&R last year; it was really nice and I certainly don't have any complaints about the room or the service that we received.

I *think they book a year in advance but I am not sure if it is different if you are using the military discount.

  • Each time we've been and looked into staying, it was cheaper for us to stay at other resorts on property.  Keep in mind, there are 6 people in our family and we have to either get 1 large room, a suite or two standard rooms.   Last time, we saved money by staying at the Poly.

  • A friend stayed and loved it! I've always heard good things about them, but it just depends what atmosphere you want. Also, if you'll have a car or will take the shuttles, if you want a kitchenette, etc.
  • I've stayed there twice and loved it. The rooms are neat and clean and the hotel part is great! They have a train deal that will take you to Disney and Downtown Disney from the hotel.

Over all I think it is great. DH and I are planning on staying there when we go to FL next Apr.
