It's just occurred to me that the last time I got my hair cut, there was ice on the ground, and it was last January. So, my hair is looking a little....unfortunate.
I'm looking for any recommendations for someone that does this. It's time I quit fighting my curly, cobweb-like hair.
Anyone have any recs you'd care to pass on, or advice? I'm also open to people that are skilled at cutting curly hair in general.
Re: DevaCurl
My sister and I have very curly hair. It's curly and frizzy and weird (the curls are inconsistent and the frizz in only in certain spots). Anyway, she is a hairstylist in NW OKC/Edmond and she is really great at cutting hair, but especially curly hair because she has it. Let me know if you'd like her number! Ginger goes to her and I think Fuzzy has a time or two.
ETA: What is devacurl? I'm not sure if my sister does that or not, I just know she's great at cutting hair.
I think we might have the same hair!
I would love your sister's number, and she's close by to where we live right now.
From what I understand, DevaCurl is apparently this kind of program for curly hair. Like you're not supposed to use a brush on it or sulfate shampoo and such. I guess you're supposed to have done all of these training classes to be able to cut hair in the "DevaCurl way" or some such. My mom and sis are both going to stylists like this, but I just haven't...I'm not sure why. I'm already not buying products with sulfates in them, so I guess I"m kind of following DevaCurl "rules", I suppose. But I'd just be happy to find someone who can cut curly hair in a way where it'll look okay with not a lot of effort on my part.
Agree with BL--her sister rocks.
I don't have curly hair, but depending on the day my hair is either super frizzy or super limp. She does a great job helping me manage it. I mean, this girl is so awesome that one time I was telling her all about my horrible hair month, and she actually called me a few days after the appointment to see how things were going and if it had improved since I'd seen her.

Interesting! You'll have to ask her about that. She will definitely be able to give you some insight on styling the kind of hair, because she does it on the daily
You have a PM.
You're so sweet! And I meant to tell you how awesome you are for giving her that couch!

Haha, I hope she still likes it! She just happened to need one the same day we got the new one, so it worked out perfectly!
