If you could pick one game show or reality show to be on
What would you choose? It can be currently airing or something old.
Re: If you could pick one game show or reality show to be on
I'd pick one of those remember the lyrics shows. I love karaoke and singing, plus I know a ton of songs so I think I'd have a pretty good shot!
What would you pick Bostonbaker?
I would love to be on Wheel of Fortune. I think I could win some serious money. I am too impatient to deal with the audition process, though.
My runner up is probably the Price is Right, although pre-Drew Carey era. That ship has sailed.
I have no interest in being on any reality show.
Ooo, good question, bostonbaker!
I love watching Jeopardy! but I don't think I'm smart enough to do well on it. I could be good on Wheel of Fortune, but there's too much luck involved in that one and I never loved the show. Who Wants to be a Millionaire (is that still on?) seems like the best place to make some decent money relatively easily since it's at least multiple choice.
As for reality show, Amazing Race for sure!
Oh, and my cousin and her bf were on Let's Make a Deal last year! They were zonked.
Haha! I love the teen tournament.
When I was younger, I wanted to be on Mtv's Road Rules so badly. Never actually applied, but always wanted to be on.
Right now, I would say an HGTV show. Maybe House Hunters because that would mean I would be getting a new house.
DH should go on Jeopardy. He is so quick with the freaking answers when watching that show. I feel like a big dumby next to him.
Probably one of those HGTV shows where they come makeover a room in your house. I could really use some help sometimes!
Anyone remember Family Double Dare? I have always wanted to be on that show. I think H would be awesome at Wheel of Fortune.
OMG yes!! That show was awesome, and amusing.
Oh that's a good call! I know my H would love to have Mike Holmes come in and fix all the problems with our house. I might have to change my answer to Holmes on Homes.
Yes yes yes! I was just going to type this. That show was awesome. I miss the old Nickelodeon
Oh, I change my answer to this too! Except I want Candace Olsen or the Yard Crasher people!
ETA: Some friends of ours in SF actually did have their yard done on one of the shows, though I don't know which one. I never saw the episode because it aired something like a year later and was on at some random time.
Oh yeah, he's definitely hot.
I miss those old Nickelodeon game shows. There were so many good ones. Legends of the Hidden Temple was great too!
I think I would like Genevieve Gorder or that girl from Secrets of a Stylist to do a room for me. I would never be able to move out of my house, though...
You totally just reminded me of Trading Spaces, which my friends and I were obsessed with for a while. I wanted to go on that show so badly, but I just knew I'd get stuck with Hildi and her covering-walls-with-hay ways.
I felt so bad for the couple who had feathers on their wall and cardboard furniture (literally, it was furniture you folded out into shape). I think I would have killed Hildi--it's not like you can just paint over feathers. And the room was supposed to be a guest room for one of their moms. I remember the woman saying, "Well, I guess we'll have to stay in here and give her our room."
Oooooh yeaaaah! I remember Trading Spaces. I don't remember that exact episode but I do remember Hildi and her wackiness!
I would love to have Candice Olsen come into my condo, (as long as she does not touch the wall unit we had built...)
Other than that, I would love to be on a home chef version of "Chopped." I watch that show and love the challenge of creating something on the fly with odd ingredients. The time limit would freak me out!
The Next Food Network star would also be awesome. My show would be based on interviewing local chefs, cooking something with them, then showing how to create a restaurant inspired meal at home. I think there are so many amazing local chefs that don't get the attention they deserve.
None, I could barely handle being filmed for my wedding so I definitely couldn't handle being filmed for a reality show!
DH has passed the Jeopardy exam several times and been invited to the in studio interviews only to be passed on. We think he's probably just not clean cut enough for the show (he's a punk/rock looking kind of guy). I told him next time he needs to go in a shirt and tie and pretend he's a professor or banker or something because he could totally win us a boat load of cash if he got on the show
