Fed with BCBS-do you have basic or standard?
Trying to debate which to choose for our family. I have a CW who has the basic and she said they've never had to pay a cent for anything

We had basic and were very happy with it.
We switched this year to Carefirst BlueChoice MD (or something like that) b/c it provided IF coverage, but the cost was a LOT more and other than the IF coverage, the BCBS Basic was a better plan.

We have BCBS standard. We have a co-pay, and DH occasionally pays more for his GI and ENF appointments, but all are relatively reasonable amounts. Knock on wood, neither of us has had serious medical problems, so I don't know how it would fare in that sort of situation.
As SSW said, BCBS dental coverage blows. We use Met Life's dental plan and have been pretty happy with that thus far (although we've only had cleanings and cavities since getting it; I only had BCBS when I had my root canal, and paid every last penny out of pocket).
