the thing is..... I'm excited - but I know my family is kind of sad too cause this will 'tie us down' in Australia - but we own the flat we live in now anyhow.....
but you know - family home, room for a dog - really does feel like we'll be building a real family life here
*sigh* but I'm just hoping by having the extra rooms they might want to come and visit more and stay longer since it'll be for free!

I get the whole family being sad thing. My mom throws into our conversations how we will probably be heading back Stateside in a year or two so she understands me not wanting to spend a lot on furniture. It breaks my heart because inside she knows this is turning into a longer time then we'd expected....
