Rusty and I are wanting to adopt a family for Xmas this year and I know you have done it in the past.  What organization do you go through?  Thanks!

Re: Kate

  • I adopt kids through Homefront: http://www.homefrontnj.org/

They're a local organization. I imagine it would be hard for you guys to drop stuff off in Trenton, huh?

United Way and Salvation Army usually run similar programs- you could check to see what your local chapter does.

  • Thanks!  My family adopted a fmaily when I was younger, but it was a bad experience and it turned me off of doing it.  I'm finally ready to try again!  I will look into UW and the Salvation Army.

  • The family we adopt is through a local refugee program. They are refugees from africa. If you have a progra like that in your area you could check there.
