Re: **cleaning schedule**

  • We do daily stuff- picking up , dishes/kitchen and sweeping/vacuuming the entryways as needed. The sinks get a light cleaning every day or so as needed depending on use. We have a person come in 1x every 2 weeks and she works her magic on floors, sinks, toilets, a deep cleaning of thekitchen etc. I feel funny having help, but it's a luxury I'm SO willing to pay for. I gladly do without some other stuff to have it. When she retires I am going to cry.

  • Right now, it's survival as I deal with my knee. We normally are so busy it's light cleaning daily (kitchen, etc) but things get piled up quickly with our schedules so normally about 1x a week, it's a deeper cleaning.
  • I do my tidy up stuff daily - putting dishes away after washing, mail/papers where they belong etc.

Weekly - usually Saturday mornings - vacuum, dust, laundry, sweeping, bathrooms, etc

Monthly - deeper cleaning odds and ends walls, mopping areas

Some things are just as needed like cleaning the oven.

  • We do the majority of our big cleaning on weekends, pretty much on a schedule.  Laundry is just never ending, there is always a load going, same with dishes.
