Re: TGIF!
I have had a crazy week (a good week, but definitely crazy) and am completely ready for the weekend!
Tonight: I'm relaxing at home. DH has a poker night with his co-workers, I'll probably see if my neighbor wants to split a bottle of wine and just relax with me!
Tomorrow: Watching U of M play MSU. I don't know where yet, but I'm definitely watching the game.
Sunday: Finishing up the landscaping and getting my bulbs finally planted (they arrived this week in the mail!) as long as the weather holds!

TGIF!!!!!!!! After being off work for 10 days this full 5 days of working has felt SO LONG!
Tonight- Going shopping with my sister for a baby shower gift and going to the gym
Tomorrow- Baby shower for my friend (yes, I'm buying the gift tonight. I'm a procrastinator like that). Not sure what else.
Sunday-Church and not sure what else yet.
Lots of work. Changing locks on house, moving boxes over, cleaning the heck out of the house because the sellers left tons of crap to throw out. Possibly attempting to steam clean the carpets on my own (really wish my mom was here to help with that!). If there's time, start painting one of the bedrooms.
I guess somewhere in there I need to go to the library to get a good book on tape so I have something to listen to while I clean and paint.

Mere!!! That is all so exciting! Congratulations again on the closing of the house!!! Are you exciting to be moving in soon??? Good luck with all of the cleaning and stuff (that's not so exciting, but it will definitely be worth it!!!)

There was some drama with the sellers moving out, but we finally got them out late last night (after the closing). Thankfully dh insisted on going over last night- they were still there after dinner (not cleaning). When we said "uh, when do you think you'll be finished here?" Their response was 'anxious to get in huh?' Uh, yea, WE own the house now. NOT you. FINISH! (Hence us wanting to change the locks TODAY!)

Happy Friday!
I am leaving work early today to hit the marathon expo & packet pick up. I am also meeting a few friends this evening for dinner at a local bar. I will stick with H2O! :-)
Tomorrow I need to run a few errands and then stay off my feet as much as possible. I am meeting about 20 other runners & spectators for dinner at Pia's at 5pm. I will get all my gear together when I get home and lay down as early as possible.
Sunday I will be picked up around 5am to head downtown for the marathon. Not sure what I will do once I am done running. My mom & step dad are working the start, my aunt is working the finish and my dad & step mom are spectating, so we may all go to lunch afterwards.

Oh man! Well I'm glad that you got them out and that everything is better now! My parents had the same type of situation when they bought a house up north. They actually helped the old owners move stuff out of their house and clean. It was ridiculous... They also changed locks immediately after they got the old owners out!
I am glad that everything worked out though!!! I hope you enjoy your new house!

Sadly I work all weekend. I was supposed to be off Sunday but had to trade the day so I could make my trip to Michigan as the end of next week.
Tomorrow night DH and I are going out to a movie. Not sure which one yet though.
Mere: That's crazy about the people still just hanging out in the house after you had closed on it. Good idea changing the locks.

Ok see I totally knew that I know nothing about plants, I didn't know they could be planted around this time. Then again, maybe I should figure out what/how to plant first.

Tonight - some dinner thing for work at the Ren Cen.
Saturday & Sunday - nothing planned yet. Probably just packing our stuff for the move on Thursday.
Ohhh that's so exciting. Where you moving too, did I miss this info?

Yes! You can definitely plant plants this time of year! In fact, a lot of plants do better if they are planted in the fall. For example, blubs (tulips, daffodils, crucuses, etc) need to be planted now so that they can bloom in the early spring.
Most perenials (meaning they grow back every year) can be planted in either the spring or the fall!

No big plans here. I'll definitely be watching the big football game on Saturday! I was hoping we'd get invited somewhere fun to watch the game, but it looks like it we'll just be watching at home.
On Sunday, I really need to finish unpacking and putting away all my stuff from Germany & our trip to Virginia last weekend. I have tons of laundry to do, the apartment badly needs to be cleaned, and then I need to get ready for my conference in DC next week. Ugh, I can't wait until I can put the suitcase away for awhile!
Lots of errands for us. I need to return a bunch of stuff to 12 Oaks. DH wants to go get a new phone. We need to buy a small fence to go next to our new trees. I still want to buy a treadmill, but I think that might not happen until next month at this rate.
Nothing planned this weekend.. DD has been running a fever the last 24 hours so I think we are going to just hang out at the house and hope that the fever goes away. I think she is teething. We do have a birthday party Sunday but we will see how dd is feeling before we decide if we are going.
Oh and GO BLUE:)
I didn't know Cirque Du Solieli was coming to MI! Shoot - I wish I had known so I could go see them!!!
Tomorrow I'm going shopping with my mom. Then there's a bonfire at my parent's place and we are pressing cider. I'm excited to see all of my family!
No big plans for Sunday.
FI's birthday is on Sunday, so I am suprising him with plans for dinner and jazz at Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe on Saturday. He knows we have plans, just doesn't know where. I really hope he has a good time.
I feel like a broken record, but we still want to go to a cider mill. It was too hot to go before, and last weekend we just had a lazy day planning our honeymoon. Unfortunately, rain is in the forecast, so we'll see. Not much other than that other than chores, etc.
I haven't really heard it being advertised, we got the tickets last November! It's a tribute to Michael Jackson, so it should be good music at least!
Tonight is my Dad's surprise 60th birthday party. "Ryan and I" (along with 15 other people) are meeting my parents at a restaurant tonight and then coming back to our house for cake and ice cream. It's been a crazy week of cleaning the house. Good reminder of why you shouldn't stop cleaning the house for a month of two. LOL
Tomorrow I have a baby shower to attend on the east side of town.
Sunday is chuch and orientation for the Distinguished Young Women of Wayne-Wetsland program. Yeah...try saying THAT 10 times fast.
I still have to finish putting together the folders to pass out to the contestants and practice what I'm going to say. I'm just glad we finally figured out a theme. Now to just find all of the music we need...
