You guys are still in my Google Reader, so I've kept up to date on everyone's doings (and all the babies, oh my goodness!) but I've been a BAD BAD poster. I actually wasn't even sure I'd be able to post this reply I've been gone so long!
Maeghan is right on both accounts (and thanks for the juju!). I just finished co-writing "New England's Scariest Stories and Urban Legends" ) no ghost hunting, exactly, though there are a few ghost stories in there. Mostly scary creatures and curses etc. from all 6 NE states and lots of first person oral histories. It'll be out in the spring in every Barnes and Noble's coast to coast and on Amazon. Super psyched.
Working on book 2 now ( working title - "Gone But Not Forgotten - New England's Ghost Towns, Cemeteries and Memorials" - nothing paranormal about this one, it's a history book) but it's really just an escape from the whole cancer thing. You probably know - I'm assuming, I can't escape it, God, he was on 207 this week AND on the flipping FRONT PAGE of the Press Herald yesterday (sigh) because DH has cancer.
The Dempsy Center suggested I keep up a hobby so my life doesn't become "cancer centered" or even "family centered". They said I can't let myself get into a cycle where my life is only about work-family-treatment. That I need to keep doing something I love too. I discovered while writing the first book, that I LOVE researching and writing, so my friend and I thought, WTH, "we'll propose our idea for book 2" (we have several others, lol). We got the green light in 48 hours. We waited 6ish weeks for the "yes" from our publisher on the first one. Guess it was meant to be!
Anyway, I'm around, mostly on FB. Jake will be FIVE on November 15th, is in his third year of pre-k (stupid cut off date!) and lost his FIRST TOOTH 2 weeks ago.
Maybe I'll try to come by more often .... that is ..... if I'm still welcome? I'm certainly not a newlywed anymore!

Congrats on the second book, that's awesome. The Center is right and what you're doing for yourself will help everyone threefold! Plus, it gives your DD something else to think about and be proud of you

Can you believe they are almost 5? Lib is right behind Jake - 11/25. and the cutoff is killing us this year too.
Sorry to hear about Jeff's cancer - I was driving to work when I heard it on the radio and I have been thinking of you guys ever since.
