what the what? occupy wall st
i seriously thought they were in a public park- i have lost some of my sympathies about them being forced out for cleaning. if this land is owned by a private property management company, i would be hard pressed as the owner to let this go on on my property. all i see is lawsuits and liability.....

Really that's all you took from that article?
Philly police and government should teach ny about working with the protestors. This police brutality is going a bit far.
Police and the city have done nothing but try to work with the protestors. The porta potty issue aside, everything here has been very peaceful. Nutter went out and spoke with protestors in the middle of the night. The police broadcasted the first amendment when the protests started so there would be no issues.
In NYC police brutality and excessive force has showed up serveral times.
The city shouldn't be responsible for providing porta potties. Any public permitted event is responsible for providing that kind of thing for themselves. They have a right to do their thing, yes. But that doesn't mean taxpayer dollars should be supporting it.
I don't know how I feel about this whole thing overall, but either way, I believe that's the case.
I have to agree. I don't see why they would expect the city to provide them with port-a-potties they should organize and bring them in themselves. I can't really get behind the whole message of forgiving ALL debt for all Americans. If the credit card companies forgave all debt where would they get the money from to cover the debt they have from lending? I mean it would be nice but not realistic.
I do respect the fact that they are protesting and standing up for what they believe to be right. I feel that too many Americans feel they can't make a difference or just don't care so they don't vote or partake in government or politics at all. So many people don't have the right that we do and we take them for granted.
