OK, ladies. I posted last week about an International Festival at Janie's school where the kids have to learn about a country, dress-up and bring food from that country. I tried to get her a little traditional Polish dress but it didn't work out.
I just ended up ordering this dress off of Etsy:
and we're going to do Russia. I just tried to pick something different b/c I'm sure everyone is going to do Ireland and Italy, lol.
So, what should I make. All I can really think of is Beef Stroganoff (which I think is totally barfy, but the kids might like) or Blinis (doing sweet ones instead of caviar, lol). But, that would be much much harder (unless I could find frozen already-made ones
Any other ideas??

Exactly. Don't let the other moms side-eye you. Its good for everyone.
You were born there? Very cool. Where abouts? I've been, but only to St. Petersburg which I LOVED. However, I didn't love the food, haha. I thought of borscht too but, ick. I'll look into your others. I may just end up doing beef stroganoff, which I call Beef Yuck-off but DH loves it and I bet J will too.
