Feeling good

I realized I came on here a few times whinning and complaining about my relationships with my in-laws but I think I have finally concluded I'm not going to stress over not being the "favorite" DIL or even liked. Life is too short to worry about what others think about us and who likes someone who is sad or grumpy all the time? Nobody! I guess I should say thanks for the tough love and sorry for being a crazy bitoch :P

Re: Feeling good

  • That is good progress.

I had a point where I reached the same conclusion in my life. I must say that it was very freeing and helpful, hopefully it will be that way for you as well.

  • That's good to hear.  How are things with your husband?
  • Oh, things with my husband are great. We are just enjoying eachothers company and building a life together. We have also been enjoying this fall weather in Upstate NY. We had his cousin and her boyfriend up for the weekend and went on a haunted hay ride, corn maze and hiking to look at the gorgeous fall foliage. It was so nice. Now we decided that we are going to host Thanksgiving dinner at our house this year! So nervous and excited!
