What have you been doing foodwise for weight loss? Did you just cut back sweets or smaller portions, etc.
I'm asking b/c it looks like you are still cooking good stuff, but I knwo you've lost a decent amoutn of weight. Do you think its all from the exercise.
Re: ~~LLHR/FIA~~
Fewer processed foods when I'm eating/cooking at home. I still have convenience items, like the yellow rice (from a box) that I made with the fajitas last night, or the canned pizza dough I'll be using in tonight's dinner, but the majority of what I'm making is made from scratch. It allows me to better control what goes into the final dish.
Less eating out. When I was working I'd often stop for breakfast (fried, greasy, sugary) and eat lunch out. Plus we ate dinner out/ordered in a lot. We've cut back on that drastically.
I refuse to skip out on good food. I *like* to eat. I *like* to cook. I *like* to bake. And, to me, black bean and avocado brownies just do not sound appealing, I don't care how many fewer calories they have over the sugar-laden ones. So I make that stuff less often. I cut back on my portions. I eat better breakfasts and lunches so that I can splurge more on dinners, which are my favorite meal of the day.
And exercise. I went from not moving at all to going to the gym an average of 3x/week - that's had a huge impact, I think.
:::Butting in:::: I would just like to say that I saw her recently and I can vouch for her-she looks great!
And I agree, I love food waaaaaay too much to ever cut anything out entirely.
You're so sweet - thanks Carrie!
I could lose weight a lot faster if I drastically changed my diet. I'd be down twice as much as I already am, probably. But that's not sustainable for me.
