drink stains out of a poly blend dress

I bought this great dress for a wedding and of course someone spilled a drink on me. It is all over the front I brought it to the dry cleaner who kinda shrugged and stated he may be able to get it out but I really didnt think it would be a big issue. Anyone else have this type of issue? Kinda annoyed to say the least.

Re: drink stains out of a poly blend dress

  • This might not be the smartest idea, but I had something similar happen to me.  I got greasy food on a dress (you can dress me up but can't take me out apparently).  It was in between the wedding and reception so I bought a tide to go pen and treated it then.  It sat on a shelf in my closet for a while as I thought about taking it to the dry cleaners.  I eventually just threw it in a lingere bag and put it through a wash cycle using woolite on gentle, then I hung it dry.  It was a poly blend dress.  I kind of came to terms with the fact that I might ruin it before I did that, but it turned out perfect.
