Have you had your foot surgery yet?  How did everything go?

Re: maeghan

  • Yup! Thanks for asking. I had it on Tuesday.  Everything went well as far as the doctor is concerned. Wont know for a while though. But, I'm still here so that's good :)

Incision etc looks better than expected. I had some pressure issues so they were going to keep me overnight and then it went away like magic. Thankfully!

I went for my first post-op yesterday and was changed into another splint, bending my foot a little (I go back Tuesday and they'll bend it more) I think they'll keep doing that for a month and then I can start PT. So, it's only been a few days of bed rest and I'm going nuts :) The staying in one spot isn't driving me too crazy, but being uncomfrotable is.

Caroline is being really good, but she says, "No!" to my foot and the walker. I'm trying not to think too much about hearing them upstairs getting ready for bed etc. We try to read in my bed, but she is a monkey on our bed and wants to jump :)

Hospital tour for you today, huh? That is always so exciting. Makes it real!!!

  • glad that everything went well for you!  I knew it was coming up and this week has been a blur, maybe you won't be in bed for as long as they thought?

    Yes hospital tour today- CRAAAAZY!

  • I'm keeping my fingers crossed! That's such a fun time. The end can be nervewracking but it's so exciting. I can't wait to find out what your little kiddo is. Team Green makes it that much more fun :)
