  It really depends on the day and how busy I am, how busy DH is, and if we have anything important or not-so-important to talk about. He has gtalk at work, and I have it on my computer and phone, so I can pretty much hit him up at any point. If it is really important, I will call him. It can vary from 1-2 times a day to a non-stop all day convo.

  I'd say 2-3 emails are pretty normal for us. We'll go more, though, especially if we have something to talk about. Since we are both really busy during the day, we only talk on the phone if it's really important.

  I said 3-5 but that's for when I am actually at work--if you add commuting it's double that because I call him after I drop Harlie off at school to let him know how that went and then when I leave work I text "htgb" which means "heading to get baby" and once I have her I text "hhh" which means "heading home honey" and he texts the same back to me when he leaves his office--this helps us coordinate arriving home at about the same time so that he gets Harlie out of my car, which is their little tradition.

  It varies. Some days we can exchange emails and talk on the phone several times. Other days, I hear nothing from him until he calls to say he's here to pick me up. DH's days can be insanely busy with constant phone calls or with clients. Sometimes he calls me while he's driving. He doesn't have the typical "desk job" like I do. I also work in somewhat close quarters with others. I don't call him up to randomly chit-chat.

  On most days we talk at once every afternoon. Some days we talk more but that's the norm.
